busy bee&some baby face diaries.

I'm a busy bee 'round here. I'm taking 14 credits and officially have 2 part timers. aka jobbies. aka job hobbies.
Anyways, here are some more enteries for my baby face diaries:
-Since I have been down here, at least 3 times a week (after people learn my age) they can't believe I'm actually 21. Because "you look SOOO young!!!!!!!!"
-At a reception for an old co-worker, I tell his mom I used to work with her son, serving. Her shocked face turned to her son and she loudly wispered "is she 18 yet?!!" Yes, I actually turned 18 2 years ago mam'.
-A new co-worker at work, just a year my senior, was shocked at my age and still treated me like a baby girl.
-Word of advise to everyone: if someone looks young and you find out their age is much older when chatting with them, do NOT say "I can't believe you're (older age)!!!!! You look like you're 16! (oviously giving me a few more years than what they actually thought) uhh... but you'll LOVE that when you're older (insert very nervous laugh here)" I cannot count on fingers and toes combined how much I've heard that lately.
As I have said before, I am used to this. I am not angry. It is just funny to me how many people seem to have these copy-paste conversations with me on a very weekly basis.  And I figure if I think it's funny, maybe other will, too! And maybe you have your own baby face diaries, yourself. Anyways, thanks for being the best. keep it up!

  1. Oh my goodness! You go through that too? I hear it all the time! I think the youngest I have gotten is 16 (but it may have been younger). I turned 21 in July.

    But, hey, when I'm 50, maybe I will look 40 : )

For now, while I want to be taken seriously, it can be a bit of a pain.

  2. Yep, totally heard that last night at when I was buying some vino [I'm 24]. The clerk goes..."not to be weird, but you look REALLY young." I told her that I get really offended when I don't get carded for buying booze.
So, I hate to repeat it, yet again, but you will enjoy it later. It's becoming less and less of a thing for me, unfortunately. ;)

  3. I'm pretty sure than in a few years it won't seem so annoying. I think I'm a bit jealous of people who are always assumed to be younger than they really are. People always think I'm older than I am. When I was 13 people thought I was 18! Hopefully I'll catch up with my age so people won't think I'm old. :P

  4. Hahaha I'm in the same position. I always tell my husband, "You know, I bet everyone just thinks we're dating!" Someone thought I was 15 the other day. I was like...no I'm 22 thanks. -_- Haha!

  5. It's great to look so young!! I was the same way when I was your age!
I used to get irritated. But now (that I'm 30) I love it! Just today a woman at work asked me if I was one of the interns…I got SO excited that I look 22! Yay! :)

  6. I'm with Rachel--I stopped trick or treating when I was 11 because people gave me the same mean looks they give older kids even though I was with my normal-age looking friends. Whatever though. People are just silly sometimes.
