Finally using the sparklers from our wedding (4th of July!) | LOVELY LITTLE RANTS

Finally using the sparklers from our wedding (4th of July!)

Happy 4th of July (almost!!!!) Today a lot of businesses are "observing" (aka I get the day off) the 4th so here is your post. Fun fact: when we got married last August, I bought like 400 sparklers. Because we invited over 700 people to our wedding reception and I figured I would need 400 sparklers for our sparkler exit. Well, obviously 400 people didn't stick around for the exit. like 100 did (am I over exaggerating, jason? I dunno)  Anyways, we have like a million sparklers left over. ps math has and never will be my strong point.

Fun fact #2 this dock, the very dock in these pictures? Yeah, this is the dock Jason proposed to me on! ps engaged story is here if you wanna read the best mushiest thing ever.

So naturally, on every firework welcoming holiday, I dig up our box of sparklers and beg Jason to take pictures with/of me. I channeled this girl for inspiration and here we are now. Sparkler pictures in the most festive of swimsuits. Oh and ps, a lot of you guys mentioned wanting to buy this swimsuit and for $7, it's a steal!! But I will warn you, it's pretty thin and you'll need something extra in there if you know what I mean (especially if it's cold outside)

Guys I love the 4th of July. And I love spending holidays with Jason. Oh and can I just take this moment to give Jason a huge shout out? I got a cold this week. Scratchy sore throat topped off with a nose that is running a freaking marathon over here. It's summer so I have no clue why this winter cold has reared it's buck ugly head at me. Anyways, the other night I was coughing and coughing at a red eye hour and Jason woke me up (um how did I sleep though that hacking? idk guys.) and asked me what I needed (ie medicine, water, a magic healing potion) and he got up and fetched some water and snuggles and rubbed my back. And then off to sleep I went. I dunno, it just made me love him a little more  because I just think he is the nicest!

Ok, now go jump in a pool and shove your face full of burgers and hot dogs for me because that's what we do in this country on the 4th of July eve.

xo

ps I just realized you can't technically see the dock but I promise you, we are standing on said dock.

pps 15% off of wood signs through the weekend bc I love you guys

  2. You invited over 700 people to your wedding reception?!?! WOW! I think I need to go back into your blog archives and read about that. But I love sparklers..seriously one of my very first memories from when I was like 4, was being at a family reunion in Ohio and we had sparklers and I touched my cousins head with it ahaha. Everyone freaked out so they kind of scared me for a while lol. And don't you just love to "write" with them?? I could do that for hours. Jason sounds like a good guy. (esp. because he does these photoshoots with you. I have to BEG to get pictures with mine haha) Isn't that the best part of being married though? Someone to wake up in the middle of the night and get you water. Last time John was sick I had to keep squirting water into his mouth while he half-slept because I was worried he wasn't drinking enough water.

Okay, now I'll go before this turns into another novel of a comment ;) Happy 4th guys! x. Morgan

    1. i know i know, 700 is kindaaaa a lot! I actually haven't blogged about the wedding ( I think? I just posted pictures) so I need to go back and do that before I forget and then my kids will never know about the wedding! hahahah that is so funny! jason said he accidentally lit a girls hair on fire with sparklers once because she had so much hairspray in her hair. Don't worry, it's lots of begging over here, too. and then eventually he starts to like taking them! awhhh hahah you get best wife award!! marriage is the best :) and I love the novel comments!!

  4. You guys are adorable...happy almost one year anniversary! We love lighting sparklers on the 4th and in a lot of areas, like ours, they can be hard to find. But, they are so very 4th-ish and a great way to light up the holiday. Great to meet you here at #FMF.

  6. I loooove sparklers! Too bad with the strict firework laws we don't have the fun sparkly ones where we live. Ours are pretty lame and look more like colored candles than sparklers. Happy 4th!

  9. I have a love hate relationship with sparklers... I think they're super fun and totally awesome (would have loved them at my reception!!), but... they scare the crap out of me. I'm always just waiting for someone to burn their eyebrows off or laser off a finger with one, since that's obviously possible. :D
