Littles Weekend | LOVELY LITTLE RANTS

Littles Weekend

Favorite picture of us 3 so it goes first because I make the rules here.

Sleeping all day so he can party ALL night :)

Hayes loves dinosaures and he gets creative with them haha I can't lie, I was impressed with how creative he was.

Because they both wanted to hold my hand at all times. Not mad about it.

Ok, ok so as a refresher, littles weekend is when  the parents go out of town and I nanny for 4 days straight. Let's start with where we left off. I mentioned the sleeping habits of these little babes (or lack there of) and LUCKILY Friday night they slept much better.

On Saturday I took them to a water park. Which seems like a good idea but I didn't realize that the youngest, Hayes, was a) too short for 99% of the rides and b) too scared to go on the rides he was tall enough for. Poor guy. Ryder (5 year old) was all about every ride possible. He went on lots of rides alone while Hayes and I waited for him at the bottom. Fast forward 4 hours and buckets of tears c/o Hayes, I broke the news that we were going to leave. Ryder's 5 year old heart was not having any of that. BUT we made it out of there and as soon as the a/c was blasting, Hayes fell asleep.
We went swimming again later that day (waiting for my name to be called as nanny of the year so any day now). Both babes slept good that night thanks to my crafty do all things that will make them tired ideas. Sunday we took them to church with us. Ryder opted to sleep on my lap during the first hour, Sacrament meeting, (counting that alone as a blessing for going to church) and Hayes opted to play with toys quietly and become a perfect angel. Seriously he bowed his head and folded his arms AND kept his eyes closed during each prayer (obviously I didn't because I was too busy being in love with his reverence) (...and taking a sneaky picture...) (oops)
After church it was time for the babes to reunite with their mama and me to take a nap.

Basically if this doesn't prep us to become parents, then we're doomed. But I think we did a pretty good job. Love those boys!!

PS guest posting over at Biana's blog today. Go check out her cute blog!!

  3. 4 days??!! You're brave! And definitely the nanny of the year! Do they stay at your place or do you have to stay at their house? Years ago, I used to watch this little boy whose Mom was a doctor and I would have to spend the night for days at time sometimes and I could NEVER sleep there! I was scared haha.

    1. haha YESS SOMEONE SAID IT. please mail the trophy to me asap. jkjkjk so we have a guest room that they LOVE because they know it's "their" room and I think it makes them feel special. We switch it up though from house to house. I've been watching them for almost 3 years so I think at first I was nervous to sleep there because it was new but but now i'm like eh whatever they have comfy beds and I need sleep

  4. I babysit quite frequently and I knew kids were hard work but I didn't realise how much until I started nannying. They definitely call the shots!
You sound like nanny of the year with all those activities you did with them! I could never take 2 children to the waterpark.

  5. I have a little girl so it's always so fun reading about how different little boys act. That was cool you got to watch them for a weekend. Even if the water park didn't go exactly as planned. Such handsome little ones! Really enjoyed your guest post over on Biana's blog! (:

  6. I love that he made the dinosaur eat the shark haha. Uh way to go with tiring them out! That's a definite win. They are so cute! I miss babysitting (which I know is different than nannying, but I've never had the pleasure of nannying!).
