Taylor Swift 1989 world tour aka the best night ever. | LOVELY LITTLE RANTS

Taylor Swift 1989 world tour aka the best night ever.

and some crapy iPhone pictures:

oh.my.gosh. If you don't want to think I'm a freak than I would suggest closing out of this post now. You guys, Taylor Swift has been my favorite artist ever since I heard Our Song in the lunch room my Freshman year of Highschool. I have every single song she's ever written, including the ones you literally have to search to find the the depths of the internet because she never formally released them or put them on an album. I only have her music on my freaking phone rn. Our first song at my wedding was Crazier by Taylor. Like really I love her.

I was kinda bummed because the arena didn't allow professional cameras (soooo lame, Gila River Arena) but we did bring the gopro thank heavens. So I took as many Taylor related pictures on my nice camera as I could before we went inside haha and then iphonography / gopro took over for the rest of the night.

I was totally fine when we walked inside and handed over our tickets to the nice security people. Fine as we passed the hundreds of people in line waiting to buy shirts. Totally fine pushing through the thick crowded hallways on the way to our section. As soon as I walked into our section, not even at our seats yet, emotions took over my entire body. Just seeing the stage that Taylor was going to walk on and sing on and thinking about all the songs she was going to sing. I couldn't handle it. I started crying you guys. You would have thought I had just seen my newborn baby for the first time. I was crying and I couldn't contain myself. Poor Jason looked at me so bewildered and just was like "I don't know what to do when you cry uhh come here, it's ok!!!" And he pulled me into a hug as the tears fell off my cheeks. We were both surprised at my little tear fest.

I collected myself as quickly as I could manage and we found our seats. There were these cool bracelets (they kinda looked like white opaque fitbit bands) on every single seat. Of course ours had been taken so OF COURSE we took other peoples and then when those people got to their seats & saw theirs gone, they of COURSE took someone else's, too. Circle of life, people. I totally called that they probably lit up during songs. They turned white, blue, red, pink, green. It was so cooool!

Vance Joy was the opening performance and he was really good (Jason loved him) but honestly I didn't really care that much because I was SO excited for Taylor. I kept asking when he was going to be over because TAYLOR SWIFT. He ended and we were waiting and waiting for like 40 minutes. FINALLY the lights started to dim and Welcome To New York was beginning to play as Taylor started rising up from under the stage.

I cried again.

As soon as it started tears. Just tears. My hand covered my mouth for like the entire song and I couldn't put it down. I was dazzled by the fact that Taylor was HERE, like we were in the same room together and she was singing. Oh my gosh. I wanted to sing and dance so I forced my tears to cut the crap and sang and danced and laughed and cried and just loved life. I was there with my 2 favorite people (Jason and Taylor, duh) So life was basically perfect. We had great seats and the fan energy was amazing! I kept thinking how cool it was that we were all strangers but we could all agree that we loved Taylor Swift. I dunno, just cool to me!

So can someone explain this to me? People drinking at concerts. Like getting drunk. I've never gotten drunk or taken a sip of alcohol before so maybe I'm naive but wouldn't you want to remember the concert? There was some young guy bragging to the older ladies next to him that his friend ran the bar so he got FREE vodka/drinks and he had like 10 drinks on a tray for himself. I just was hoping he wasn't driving or something.

Back to Taylor. I took a million videos and went crazy on snap chat (not sorry) and we took a few videos on the go pro so I obviously made a little concert memory video to remember forever and ever and ever. It is probably boring to anyone else that isn't me so there's your warning.
ps click to watch it in HD, quality is 100x better.

Also I tweeted this at her like an hour before the concert. She didn't play crazier but it's ok, I'm still her biggest fan.

Needless to say it was amazing and I loved every single second of it. Thanks for reading my Taylor rant :)

  2. Oh man I am so jealous!!!! I thought I was done with Taylor Swift envy. When she was in Seattle at least 10 people (some bloggers I follow and the rest people I know in real life) went and it was all over social media. I cried inside a little bit. I'm glad you got to fulfill this dream!!!

  3. I saw her play when she came to London here in the UK and it is by far the best concert I've been to to date! I felt like I'd fulfilled all my teenage dreams by finally seeing her live and it was so awesome. Such a shame she didn't play Crazier for you and its so weird that the set list was different for the show I saw! xx

    1. Thank you!!! I did not expect to cry haha but I couldn't help it! Yeah I was so confused on the people around me getting drunk. They spent like $400 on tickets and then won't even remember it.

  8. I watched the whole video! Looked so fun! And Jasons face watching you sing is too cute lol. And as someone who has drank at 99% of all the concerts I've been to, I totally agree with you, it almost always ruins the whole time and it's not worth it! (I really think I just used to hang out with a bad crowd.) The energy of the crowd is really enough of a "high" itself! But anyways. Those light up bracelet are amazing! I would totally be freaking out excited about those. John and I loooooove Imagine Dragons and they just passed through Houston and I'm really kicking myself that we didn't go. Why are concerts so expensive!!!

    1. yayyy hopefully it didn't bore you haha I showed Jason and he was like "It's just a bunch of clips from the concert" DUHHH memories J!! :) Was it fun though? Like is being drunk at a concert just a fun thing to do? I just didn't understand it haha but I've never done it so maybe I'm the crazy one :) I still have been freaking out about the bracelets, I keep shaking it (cause it lights up with it shakes) and get so excited cause TAYLOR. I went to an imagine dragons concert once (DUMB LUCK our neighbor and the lady I nanny for gave me and my roommate free tickets so I took Jason and she took a date) but you would love their concert!! They put on a really good show! If Imagine Dragons + Taylor had a show together it would be the ultimate show!

  11. It's actually so cute you cried! Definitely a die hard fan! I remember hearing Tear Drops On My Guitar when I was 17 or 18 and I thought yep she's going places! No one believed me and then she released Love Story and everyone was like OMG HAVE YOU HEARD OF TAYLOR SWIFT!? SHE'S AMAZING!! Ugh yeah...like over a year ago!!! Haha I've seen her twice and she was incredible both times. And as for the drinking...personally, I've never gotten drunk at a concert. Had maybe one or twice beers but that's it. I want to enjoy and remember a concert! Glad you had such a good time!! :)

  16. Crazier is one of the most beautiful songs. I'm so glad to hear you had an excellent time. Tears are normal, especially when you're seeing your idol in person. (: When someone says they don't like Taylor Swift I question their sanity. What's not to like? She's seriously America's sweetheart.

  24. I was the exact same way when I saw Coldplay. Totally fine until the moment they walked on stage, then the flood gates opened and I couldn't stop crying. haha. I think concerts are so cool because you love these peoples music so much and then all of a sudden, you guys are sharing the same moment in time together. That's my favorite part about concerts! Also, I saw Taylor on her Red tour and it was so good so I can't imagine how good 1989 was!! I don't understand people drinking at concerts either. I want to remember every moment of most concerts so getting super drunk I don't get at all.

    1. haha you understand me then completely!! It is so true, you described it perfectly. Just seeing the stage she was going to be on and thinking about how much I love her music and getting to see her sing it just got to me and i couldn't help but cry! I bet Red was AMAZING!! And seriously, I wanted to soak in every minute of the concert, I was so confused why the people behind us were getting drunk aka going to forget the whole thing.

  25. So jealous! She's coming to my city on Halloween, but my sisters are still in the trick-or-treating age, so I'm going with them to do that instead (they're really upset about it though). I've seen every single Tay album tour (Speak Now twice), so this will be the first one I'm missing :(

I just came across your blog today--and I've been poking around, and it's awesome! Much love! //xo
