The miracle.

Signs made by yours truly and can be found here.

Hi! Happy Monday! So on Saturday I did a little boutique in town and this was my booth ^
I kept wanting a cuter setup compared to past boutiques so I bought some sparkly fabric + wire baskets and here is the end result! I was pretty excited about it if I do say so, myself. :) Also, I really wanted to wear a hat so I pretty much planned my outfit around wearing a hat. First it was because it was cute but now I'm glad I wore it because when the sun came out, it was SO HOT and the hat kept it out of my eyes. So thanks, hat.

But lets rewind a little bit, back to Friday night. Jason and I were tearing apart the house getting these all ready for the boutique, were the backs all stamped with the Framed stamp? Did everything have a price tag? Does this one need to be touched up a little to be perfect?! And I always like to try to make as many last minute signs as possible to make sure we have enough stock. It was basically a mad house getting all the final touches done and getting everything packed into the truck for the boutique. I think we went to bed just shy of 2am! Jason asked if for the next one I can last minute prepare a little earlier haha but I can't make any promises so... sorry J! xo

We were planning on waking up at 6am to get to the boutique to set up together because Jason had work at 8. 6am rolled around around in my exhausted stage just offered to go by myself later to set up so we could sleep longer haha it was worth it. I woke up a little later and got there around 9 to set up and it wasn't even hard and soooooooo worth the extra sleep, oh my gosh. So yeah, set it all up and I honestly didn't have high expectations. I figured if I sold 2 signs it would be worth it. Luckily, it passed my expectations ten fold and we did a lot better than I expected! I just had expected it to not be as good as past boutiques because most of the booths were different MLM companies and I was kind of the lone wolf handmade person out there.

People kept asking "so did you make these or...??" haha I was like "yup, I sure do make them!" I think people thought I was a high schooler here selling these for my mom or something, I dunno. There were a few kids there with their moms or running their moms booths so I didn't put it past em. People usually think I'm a lot younger than I am so that was my assumption. Or a lady asked, "So are these stickers or paint" PAINT, you guys! Stickers? Who do you think I am!? It was just funny getting  bunch of silly questions but I guess I'm glad they asked so I could set stuff straight for them.

So yeah it was awesome and I'm sooo glad I did it!! I have 2 more boutiques come up this season so if you're in AZ then COME and say hi!! :)

Sunday I had my family come over for dinner and I made a roast and carrots and Jason made the biggest bowl of mashed potatoes ever! Fact: Meat shrinks when you cook it! Fact: I had no idea.... Fact: Somehow the roast fed 6 people even though it shrunk. It reminded me of that time 1 fish fed thousands of people haha basically a miracle. But it worked out and hopefully no one left starving or anything. The potatoes made up for the roast I think because there were soooooo many!

So there was my weekend! Now I'm off to finish up sign orders and make a billion for for the next boutique in 2 weeks. ahh!!

  1. How fun that people were so confused by what the product was, whether you'd done it or not, etc! Must mean that they were just too good that people couldn't believe it! :)

I love it! It is a little delicate but it did really well having wood signs all over it so I love it so far!

  4. It sounds like everything went well, despite the fact that some people thought you were super young (never a bad thing!) and were asking if you used stickers on your signs. The signs really are beautiful; good wonder people were intrigued! Best of luck preparing for your next two shows!

  6. Hahahahaha. Stickers???? REALLY? What is wrong with people? I too never knew that meat shrank, until I made my first pot roast for about 8 people. Unlike your miracle though, mine was different. As in, it was nonexistent. But, you can't win em all I guess! So glad you had a successful shop weekend!

    1. hahah I know!! I know SOME people do make them with vinyl but usually you can tell pretty easy the difference between vinyl and paint haha ohhh I was so embarrassed when I took it out and I was like "um.... I was literally expecting to have left overs...." That's so funny you've done the same thing!!! haha twins!

  20. Good call with the hat I think that it matches your pallets perfectly ;) Lol, no really it's super cute. I feel like wearing a hat is such a brat thing. Like I don't have the guts to go out in public wearing a hat I feel like a weirdo. I should just do it. But anyways....enough about nothing...I am so happy you had a good turn out! You obviously work so hard, so it's awesome that it's paying off! And I just think its so cute that you and Jason do this together. Like staying up until 2am making signs sounds fun. Not all the time, but I think you guys will look back and remember these times as fun. I've always heard that couples should have a common hobby....I don't know what ours is lol. Maybe I should be worried. Also, AGAIN with the post title...thought you were pregnant. The word "miracle" always screams baby to me lol.

    1. Oh and I LOL'd about the roast shrinking. I always do mine in the crock pot and I'm like OMG we're going to have food for a week, and then it's like enough for just us for dinner lol.

    2. OMG can I comment enough, sorry, but my first comment I meant to say *BRAVE THING. Not brat!!

    3. haha I was like "wait does she think I'm a brat for wearing a hat?" That's funny haaa! With your hair I think a hat would look SO CUTE!!!!! Seriously, I love hats with short hair. I've never really worn hats but I always think people look so cute wearing them so I was like I WANT TO BE CUTE! and bam, bought a hat. K and I really like that you said that! When I read this post to Jason (he likes when I my blog to him haha) He was like "did you mention how you got mad at me while we were up late doing sign stuff???!" because I snapped at him a little because I was so like "omg this has to get done so we can go to bed omg omg" and yeah. I'll tell him ONE DAY we will laugh at these memories and be grateful for them! He probably would prefer a different couple hobby but I'm sure he secretly loves it ;) yeah no one told me roast shrinks!!! haha I was like "uhh... hopefully everyone gets to eat.......!"
