Last week! | LOVELY LITTLE RANTS

Last week!

Last work selfie ever!

So this is it! My last week of work! I'm working full time at my day job and pretty much catching up on blogging and getting things together for the new year as far as Framed goes. Side note- we closed Framed until January 1st (aka this Friday) to catch up and get ahead!  I'm so excited to start just doing Framed and we got our LLC all set up and ready to go so we are official! Anyone else out there work from home?? The only thing I'm nervous about is being home all day. I just get nervous that being home all day will feel non productive (even though it will be because I'll be making signs all day) but yeah, for some reason I'm just nervous I'll feel like I'm doing nothing or something haha

I decided that each day I will make myself get out of the house one way or another for a few hours. Like every Monday I'll grocery shop. and that's as far as I've gotten, but that's pretty good! Compared to right now when it's Monday and I'm like crap we're out of almond milk for breakfast, how will I survive? What do you guys do to get out of the house?! Luckily it's Arizona and spring is just weeks away so running outside can easily be a daily occurrence! Obviously I'm trying to think of anything to make sure being home bound doesn't drive me too nuts. Again, I am STOKED to be working from home!! I just know myself and know I need to get out of the house for fresh air and a change of scenery to keep sane, ya know?

I just bought a few Jillian Michael's workout DVD's (laugh, go ahead!) they're soooo cheap on ebay and the workouts are so good!! So I def plan on doing those as much as I can, ideally every morning, but baby steps over here.

That's about all I have to say for now! Only 1 more day of corporate life and then it's all about that entrepreneur life. Wish me luck! :)

  1. Congrats! I am so excited to follow this next year and see how things go! I think getting out of the house is key...if you can establish some type of 'routine,' then it will probably be an easier transition!

  5. Congrats on being finished with your other job! Woohoo! I work from home, and I agree with Emily that getting out of the house is important. When you are not doing signs, maybe you can go to a coffee shop?

  7. I know I say I want to work at home, and I think I could handle it. I've been home for about two weeks for our holiday break at my work and everyday I've gotten outside of the house, walking Sophie everyday (Kyle and I do family walks with her), running errands, and blogging. Granted I'm on break so I'm not working, but I could definitely make it work.

So happy that things are working out for you! Happy last week.

  8. this sounds awesome! I feel like staying at home every day could get a little crazy, but maybe head to the gym every so often and make errands whenever you need. I like the idea of going grocery shopping every Monday! Wishing you all of the best with Framed! x, kenz http://sincerelykenz.com

  10. I go to the gym every week day first thing in the morning. It's a great way to get out of the house AND kick start my day! It definitely helps on weeks when I feel like I'm doing nothing other than editing photos. ;)

  12. It's my dream to figure out how to work from home. I love it. I could be home all day and think of a million things to do. I think working out at home is so much better too. Besides obviously the walking/running part lol. Also a good idea to get out of the house everyday, except for I usually find that that means spending money haha. Like I don't know what else to do. Maybe the running part is a good idea. (I'm talking about you here, not me, I don't run.) I think it's so cool though that you get to work for yourself. Like working for someone else doesn't do anything for you, you know? Or at least that's how I think. I mean, I guess nannying isn't exactly doing anything for me really, but it gives me a purpose and makes me happy. So there's that. I just never cared for working in an office and dealing with things that had absolutely nothing to do with me. It just never seemed like it mattered. So basically, I am just really happy for you!!!
