Best date night
Alright, alright I know it's Wednesday and I'm writing about last Friday but it's cool guys. So last week I wanted to plan date night and surprise J with something we hadn't done before. So Thursday I called him when I wasn't home and asked him on a date because I thought it was funny and formal and stuff. HE SAID YES! SO first we went to this pizza place and I ordered from the kids menu (of course). Dinner ended a lot quicker than I expected, I had planned enough time to go to a sit down place but the sit down place we wanted to go to had a LONG wait and it would have been too long so we switched to a quicker place. So I guess I didn't plan that well enough, oops!
Long story short, we had at least an hour to kill before our appointments. Jason still had no clue what we were going to do so I tried to stall and failed. I had set up two full body massages at this reflexology place and it so happened to be a few stores down from the food place we ate at. I wanted to keep it a surprise so I tried to get us to walk down there somehow without being super obvious. Soooo basically it worked and we walked in and he was super excited!! But we were still like an hour early.
The guy that owns the place reminded me of how someone would look/act in the 70's. He was an older guy and very opinionated on pretty much every hot topic, all of which got brought up as we were waiting for our appointment to start. I mentioned I read the reviews and they were raving and he was like "Oh except for that guy that hates me that wrote one. He was pissed because he didn't call to cancel and I don't respect people who do that so I let them know blah blah blah" so obviously I looked it up and it was the funniest review on how the guy really did hate him and how disrespectful 70's guy was. I kind of just had to focus on how excited I was for the massage and not pay too much attention to all the stuff coming out of opinionated Joe's mouth.
Finally our massage started and it was amazing!! I kept hearing Jason's lady like slapping his back haha I wanted to look over so bad (we were next to each other) to see what was going on but I never could. I have the hardest time just laying and relaxing during a massage so while it was super nice, I wish I could have just been 100% relaxed instead of still having 100 things running through my head. Jason LOVED his massage though. It was so perfect for him because school is SO crazy and he has hours of homework every night so I was so glad he just got to relax and not think about school for a full hour. So basically look up reflexology places near you because an hour full body massage was only $28 a person!! So I'm assuming pricing is pretty universal around the US?
Anyways, in case you missed it, I'm giving away a world map sign over here and it ends TONIGHT! :) Happy Wednesday!
