This is a picture from a our engagements but I liked it so here it is!
As you probably do not know, Jason's birthday is VALENTINES DAY!!!! Which is totally cool with me because I've never been a huge valentine's day person. Like, cool a day where Hallmark makes most of their greeting card income for the year and the day roses are like triple the normal price. So I LOVE that his birthday is Valentine's day because then I can just focus on him. But obviously I am a girl and I do like cute things so I may have asked Jason to do something small for me for Valentine's haha I don't wanna get jipped on a nice date ya know? ;) But V-day is HIS day and then something for me is done like the day before or after.
ANYWAYS, I love being married and being able to surprise someone and do something for the person I love most in the whole world. It really is my favorite. So I love his birthday so much! Last year we did all things birthday and had a secret surprise saved for the end of the day that he had no clue about! I rented a hotel room for the weekend to do a little staycation together :) Earlier that day, I made him go to his parents house so I could "go home and bake the cake and get the house decorated" but obviously I ran off to the hotel and filled the room with balloons and his presents and the cake so it would be all ready when we got there later that night!
We ate food all day at different places and normal birthday stuff but I told him we had reservations at this super fancy restaurant (The Compass, we went there for our anniversary) At that point, he had never been before! Basically it's this amazing restaurant that sits on the top of a hotel and spins really slowly so you get to see the entire city and different landmarks and stuff.
We drove up to this hotel and it wasn't SUPER tall so he was already saying he thinks I went to the wrong place because he didn't see anything special on top of the hotel. But I assured him it was the place for real! I videoed his reaction cause you can't just not video surprising someone.
It was an awesome weekend and I can't wait to celebrate him this weekend again!! I love you J!
