When you're a ghost. (29 weeks) | LOVELY LITTLE RANTS

When you're a ghost. (29 weeks)

Dress: f21 Shirt: f21 Shoes: ross

Let me explain the title really quick! I've been trying out this new tanning foam that I am officially in LOVE with. It's called Bondi Sands and I kept hearing about it here and there from people so I wanted to try it for myself. It's a foam instead of a spray or lotion so it's 100x easier to rub in and not streak. It also smells really good which is a HUGE plus because Jason hates my other tanning stuff because it stinks so bad. Anyways, I got it a little over a week ago and wanted to try it out asap! So I put it on my arms and face blah blah. Apparently pregnancy brain took over because I forgot to do my legs!! So in these pictures my top half is tan and my legs are still ghostly white. So I've been half ghost all week until I finally put some on my legs haha. I contacted the lady who sells it and she is offering 10% off for my readers with the code CANDACE if you want to try it for yourself :) I got the dark foam and LOVE it.

Anyways though, I am officially 29 weeks!! Which also means I've been in the third trimester for the past few weeks. My sickness and tiredness is coming back so I am assuming baby girl is doing a whole lot of growing in there while she preps for her big arrival! I was reading about what happens at 29 weeks on this pregnancy website I stumbled upon called pregnancy calc. It's nice because it tells you exactly what is happening to your baby and your body at each week! This week her lungs are starting to finalize and get all ready to breath in 11 short weeks!

She is the size of a small cabbage (ok??) and about 3 pounds. She kicks 24/7 and Jason gets to feel her all the time! I'm still working hard to convince Jason that the name I love is the one we should pick but he isn't budging yet so... pray for me ;) Other than being tired all the time and baby getting bigger every second, nothing too new at 29 weeks! We are doing our maternity shoot next week and I am so excited for it!! It's just another one of those things you do when you're close to the end so I am just like yayyyy!! Pregnancy acne just wont quit so if you have any advice on clearing it up, help!! I feel like nothing is working and it just keeps popping up. Just one more random note to add, we are finally painting the crib next week (that's the goal) so I got this baby safe paint and I need to sand down the crib (can't wait...) and then we can paint it white! Right now it's a dark brown but I really really want a white crib so paint it is. My sister in law gave us her crib so that was a huge blessing to not have to buy one!

Just a little s/o to Jason because he picked out this whole outfit when we were in California. :)

    1. You are so lucky you are naturally tan already!! I am jealous of your pretty skin tone! And it's crazy to read everything that goes on in there, so many things I never knew or thought about before being pregnant! Hope these 10 weeks fly by :)

  3. You must be really tan because ghosts are usually insvisible :P Pregnancy brain, good ole pregnancy brain I swear I still have it two years later! also at least you can reach your legs! By that time I literally gave up on anything below my stomach, half the time I wore flip flops because I could at least slide into those as opposed to struggling to pull them on, same thing with pants, just wore dresses.

    1. haha I meant more the fiction ones that are actually white ;) Oh man, yeah I can luckily still reach my toes, it just isn't super comfortable to bend down so anymore! I've been living in leggings because they're 10000000x more comfy than pants for sure haha

  4. Hahaha! I remember when I was a teenager I used a self-tanning lotion and completely forgot to do under my chin (I got my neck, but missed the triangle of skin just below your chin - I guess that's part of your throat?). I definitely got teased for that. ;)

Hooray for feeling her moving so much! That has to be so awesome!

  5. Haha team ghost here. Except I never tan. I physically can't tan. lol We just had our engagement photos taken over the weekend and there was a lot of "move your big white arm" comments. lol. Unfortunately prego acne is hormonal and unfortunately hormonal acne sucks.. I STILL have struggles with hormonal acne. Whenever I get stressed or it's that time of the month, it's game over for my jaw and neck area. For real. You will notice after she's here, products will work differently and you'll most likely have to start a new skin care regime from scratch. I did, and still have to tweak it here and there. Just listen to your body. (:

    1. yay #teamghost!! :) You look cute though!! And Brunettes can totally get away with not being super tan wayyyyy easier than blondes! I can't wait to see all of those perfect engagements you took!! And dang hormonal acne, it's the worst!! I need to figure out a good fix for it besides makeup haha

  6. So exciting that you're doing maternity pics next week! Time is flying by for you! Girl, I hear ya on the pregnancy acne. I use the Belli Anti-Blemish Facial Wash right now which is supposed to be a miracle worker on pregnancy acne. I feel like it works better than my pre-pregnancy cleanser, but I'm still breaking out.. like all of the time. That's definitely one thing I won't miss about being pregnant! I'm sure Jason will eventually give in on the name you like. Because if momma ain't happy, nobody is happy! ;) And literally, feeling baby move HAS to be the coolest part of pregnancy.

    1. It is flying and taking forever at the same time!! But I know she will be here before I know it :) And soooooo good to know, thank you! I will be looking into that facial wash because this hormonal acne is driving me nuts! I just keep saying "well I am the one who gets sick all the time so I should get to name her..." haha hasn't worked so far but I'm still pushing! Oh seriously, movement is my favorite part ever, it's amazing there is someone growing in there!

    1. After looking at pinterest for way too long (oh hey, me) white cribs just seem so much easier to match well with everything and look good in a boy or girl room! I feel like brown cribs don't look as cute in girl nurseries but I'm probably just picky haha

  8. I did a similar thing with sunscreen. I forgot to put it on the tops of my shins so when we were in Laguna Beach I burned only on my legs. HA.

  9. You look so great, even with white legs! Haha. The only thing that helped my prenancy acne was apricot scrub. I would use regular face wash then scrub the crap out of my face with that to exfoliate. Worth a shot!
