Sunday after church Jason goes "K you can't look at my phone because I have a surprise for you later tonight!!!" A surprise!?!??!?! I am the worst at surprises. Like the literal worst ever. I always ask for 854698892342795 clues, always make millions of guesses, and always BEG to just be told. Also, I am learning that patience is a virtue I need to work on.... like a lot. Jason always has the best surprises ever so it always KILLS me when he says he has one and then I have to wait for it.
FINALLY after waiting a few entire hours and just having finished dinner at his parents, he said we could go to the surprise now! Obviously I was so excited and asking questions for days on the drive to the surprise. We pull up to an apartment complex and all I could think of is that I had to pee (typical Candace) So I asked if we know the people we were about to go see and if it would be weird if I asked them to use their bathroom. J said we didn't know them and it would be weird. haha anyways, we've been mom-car shopping so I thought maybe he was surprising me with meeting up to test drive someones car to maybe buy or something??? We waited for the people to get home as we sat outside their apartment door.
Up walked our friends Weston and Darian!! The surprise was that we were hanging out with them (I've been wanting to hang out with them for like 100 years so it was such a good surprise) Plus married friends!!!! Married friends are hard to find. You have you like the wife and your husband has to like their husband, otherwise it's not fun to hang out because one spouse is always like.... this isn't fun (if they don't mesh with the other spouse, ya know?) We all get along so well and it's like a married friend match made in heaven. Wes and D are cool because they go on adventures!
Stole this from D's instagram of them because they're the cutest things ever. This was on our adventure (of course) Also I was so sad I didn't get a picture with Darian, guess we just have to hang out again :)
We headed to canyon lake and talked and skipped rocks and explored and it was great. For .1 second I was a little sad that we may not be able to go on adventures that much once baby is here and then immediately I was like WAIT YES WE CAN! Because babies love adventures!! I just got the ergo baby 360 that I've heard is amazing so baby can totally hang in that and adventure with us. Oh I can't even wait!!
Anyways though, Jason and Wes are rock skipping PROS. Like if it was a real sport they would probably be team captions, for real. When it was getting dark, we went back to their house and hung out for a little while longer before it was time to head out. s/o to Jason for being a little surprise sweetie :)
